Dr. Jovana Petrović is a Research Professor at Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, University of Belgrade. Her research interests are in integrated and fibre optics and biomedical engineering. She has made substantial contributions to design and fabrication of novel photonic components, metamaterials, sensors and their applications in noninvasive medical diagnostics. Dr. Petrovic coordinates innovative photonic and medtech projects and serves as a consultant to the European Commission, Heart Beam (US) and Intermedic Group (Serbia). She is a Senior Member of the Optical Society of America, L’Oreal Women in Science Awardee for Serbia and DESY Stephenson Distinguished Visitor, Germany.
