Full professor

Henryk A. Witek (born 1973) studied chemistry at Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland), where he got M.Sc. in theoretical chemistry in 1996. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in quantum chemistry in 2002 from Tokyo University, Japan. He worked in 2003–2005 as a postdoctoral fellow at Emory University, Atlanta (USA). Since 2005, he has been working as a professor of quantum chemistry at National Chiao Tung University (renamed to National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in 2020) in Taiwan. His main scientific interest lies in analytical solutions of Schrödinger equation for small atoms and molecules, enumeration of Clar covers for graphene flakes,  vibrational spectroscopy of unstable species, and various mathematical aspects of basic physical and quantum chemical theories.
